Learn the basics of CAD design using FreeCAD, including sketching, parametric modelling, assemblies, technical drawings, and core design workflows through guided, project-based sessions.
Develop practical 3D modelling skills by creating digital objects, refining geometry, and preparing designs for prototyping, helping students move confidently from concept to visualized form.
Extend CAD learning into real-world making through laser cutting and 3D printing, so students understand how digital designs become physical prototypes and functional objects.
Join a broader pre-engineering pathway where CAD is integrated with electronics, IoT, robotics, and mentorship to help students build strong portfolios and real-world problem-solving skills.
Apply design skills through hands-on projects that encourage experimentation, documentation, and iterative improvement while building confidence in practical product development.
Create documented design work that supports future academic and career goals, especially for students interested in STEM, engineering, product design, and university applications.
Maker's Asylum helps students learn CAD through practical design challenges instead of passive theory alone. Programs introduce 3D modelling, parametric thinking, assemblies, and technical drawings while connecting digital design to fabrication and prototyping. With live guidance, flexible learning formats, and a maker-first approach shaped in Goa, students gain skills they can apply to portfolios, STEM exploration, and future engineering or design pathways.

Yes, CAD remains highly relevant across engineering, product design, architecture, manufacturing, robotics, and digital fabrication. Students who learn CAD early build spatial thinking, technical communication, and problem-solving skills that transfer well into STEM pathways. It is especially valuable when paired with prototyping, 3D printing, and portfolio-based project work, because learners can show how they turn ideas into workable designs.
